Mission: Libreria del pueblo, inc's primary purpose is to help low income individuals with immigration services along with general education of those individuals. To provide referral services to agencies that provide the services needed by the community to educate the public how to access health care.
Programs: Immigration and citizenship services - professional and quality services were rendered to clients. Workload has been increasing dramatically. Provided citizenship classes for persons who are legal permanent residents. Almost 100% pass rate of the clients served. Total clients served over 2000. Dignity health - to educate and raise awareness among the hispanic community about medi-cal benefits and refer potentially eligible individuals to the department of public social services. To inform the hispanic community about the changes on the "public charge" policy and the benefit for the immigrants in process to become permanent residents or u. S. Citizens. Clients served approximately 20. We provided workshops to distribute information on how to access healthcare and enroll eligible persons in the affordable care insurance program.
