Programs: Restoration and conservation - worked with local schools/students and engineers on projects. Year 9-thorp kimball invasive european frogbit plant control. Year 6-laplatte invasive european frogbit plant control. Year 3-invasive yellow iris survey/control.
planning and data collection - provided administrative support for various river watch projects in addison/chittenden counties. Identified 5 ahead of the storm sites to become demonstration sites. Completed annual water quality sampling plans for lewis, laplatte, thorp & kimball streams.
education & outreach - co-sponsored "water matters" workshops; completed "ahead of the storm" educational materials. Participated in panel discussions and water quality education events. Won four environmental awards. Refreshed website and maintained facebook page.
