Mission: The leviticus fund is motivated by faith and founded on the biblical verse of leviticus 25:23 and its call for justice in the stewardship of economic resources. The fund supports transformative solutions that serve low-income and vulnerable people by combining flexible capital from social impact investors and contributors with knowledge-sharing to create sustainable and affordable communities.
Programs: The leviticus fund's flexible capital and technical assistance supports a range of community development projects serving low-income communities and low-income individuals and families. In 2017, our lending activities included the following closed loans: 6 loans totaling $8,217,961 which partially financed 637 units of affordable and supportive housing; 2 loans totaling $1,175,000 which partially financed expansion of an existing charter public school to serve 424 additional students and working capital for another existing facility; 1 loan totaling $1,000,000 which partially financed construction of a grocery store-anchored commercial development; and 1 loan for $1,900,000 that partially financed acquisition of an industrial building for an economic development project for "maker's space" entrepreneurial businesses.
