Programs: The 5th annual let every woman know-alaska gyn cancer awareness and arts of healing weekend took place february 3, 4 & 5th 2017. The weekend offered a free two-day foundation for women's cancer survivors course featuring talks from nationally recognized gynecologic oncologists coming from all over the united states, support groups, experiential learning and breakout workshops for gynecologic cancer survivors, family and friends, doctors, care takers and other members of the medical community. In addition, let every woman know hosted a first friday art showcase at blue hollomon gallery featuring works by artists whose lives have been touched by cancer, and a saturday night dance like barb rhythm heals benefit concert at taproot. 100% of all weekend event proceeds go towards funding the many let every woman know programs throughout alaska.
the alyeska climbathon is part of an international movement for gynecologic cancer awareness and a fundraiser for let every woman know - alaska and the girdwood health clinic. The 2017 alyeska climbathon had 289 climbers churn out 1,094 laps over the course of 10 hours to support the movement to create awareness and education of gynecologic cancers.
