Mission: Leonardo academy is a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sustainability by leveraging innovative tools and information to motivate the competitive market. By utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to sustainability strategies, education, and implementation, we strive to make sustainability practical for everyone. We develop integrative sustainability solutions designed to enhance the environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity of organizations, corporations, and individuals. We see a world filled with sustainable opportunities that can transform the way we live today and ensure the prosperity of future generations.
Programs: The sustainable building services program assisted certification projects that resulted in 5 leed certified buildings during 2016 additionally, leonardo academy performed leed-eb building certification application reviews for 68 leed-eb certified buildings. Training sessions were also conducted in-person and via webinars. C&g climate footprint calculations and offsets were conducted for 7 companies. The sustainable transportation program partnered with fleets, school districts, local government and industry to reduce each entity's diesel emissions through u. S. Environmental protection agency grant programs. The upgraded equipment included diesel engines in school buses and trucks as well as agricultural and construction equipment. Sustainable land management activities continued on property owned by leonardo academy that involves additional acres of prairie restoration and oak savanna rehabilitation.
