Mission: The Lee Hall Train Station Foundation is an organization dedicated to the relocation, preservation and interpretation of this historic 1880s structure in Newport News, Va. The Lee Hall Depot was constructed in 1883 as part of the Chesapeake and Ohio railroad's efforts to establish its Atlantic terminus at Newport News, thereby linking the Ohio River Valley with the sea. It is the only remaining depot from the railroad's expansion into Warwick County, and it is a symbol of the history of transportation and of the growth of an agrarian community into a modern city.
