I worked for the League of Women Voters of California from home as a volunteer researcher during the summer of 2011. I compiled sources into a bibliography and annotated it for the League's study committee to update their official position on California's initiative and referendum processes. I worked with Helen Hutchison and Trudy Schafer closely and I found the experience to be rewarding and educational. The League disseminates critical information about our state government and the way it works and helps register people to vote who might not otherwise go out of their way to do it. I thoroughly enjoyed working for the League and I would love to have the opportunity to do it again in the future.
