AOF is a great organization that offers people with common interests to meet and not feel like they're the only agnostic or atheist around. They have interesting speakers and events where you can learn something and make new friends.

A small, wonderful group of people who care about our environment, science, and community. They host lectures and quarterly highway cleanups, among other events. Entirely volunteer-driven, membership is cheap and worthwhile.

This is one of the most ethical, dedicated, active groups I've ever been with. The best part is that the people I meet through AOF are such nice, interesting people.

AOF is a modest but vigorous organization which dismisses organized religion as idol delusion and that we must look to science for the answers of the mystery of life. Since 1997, AOF has participated in the California Department of Transportation's Adopt-A-Highway program where we periodically clean a 2-mile stretch of freeway of litter and waste. We also participate in a feed-the-needy program held in a church in Davis, CA where we set up and serve a meal prepared by volunteers for the poor of the region.

For three decades Atheist and Other Freethinkers has served as the center of the Freethought community in the greater Sacramento area. They have hosted many engaging and prominent guest speakers and provide a place for those with a naturalistic worldview to participate in educational and social activities.

The only Sacramento-area organization focused on promoting tolerance and understanding between religious believers and unchurched citizens.
