Programs: The mission of lazarus veterinary clinics, inc. Is to provide care for suffering animals and people, to promote animal health and well-being, and to teach directly and by example christian integrity, values, and relationships. A. Four full-time small animal veterinary clinics are operated in dane and racine counties, wisconsin, to provide net revenues to support this mission. 34,450 patient visits were made in 2016. B. Free or substantially discounted veterinary services provided for stray animals for which there is no evidence of present ownership but for which there is a reasonable likelihood of securing a permanent suitable owner after appropriate veterinary care. These services include examinations, diagnostic testing, such as blood testing, urinalysis, microscopy, and x-rays to determine disease, medical and/or surgical treatment of such disease, necessary hospitalization, de-worming, parasite control such as fleas, fluid and nutritional support, vaccinations, neutering, and spaying. 57 stray animals were cared for at a cost of $53,574. This amount includes, but is not limited to, free or substantially discounted veterinary services for the local humane societies and animal shelters. Assistance to the local police, humane societies, and other veterinary clinics in determining if stray animals have a home. Advertising online, on each veterinary clinic's website, and posted information within each clinic to find caring owners and suitable homes for those strays without current ownership.
serving the people in the community:a. Employees donate their time to local charitable activities duringthe course of the normal work day. B. Discounted veterinary services for responsible pet owners who, as a result of low income, are at risk of being unable to provide theminimum necessary veterinary care for their pets. There are fivecategories of assistance for people: staff of animal shelters or humanesocieties, low income, owners of multiple pets, disabled or elderly. The purpose is to enable the owners to provide the minimum necessary medical care for their pets in order to minimize animal suffering, prevent premature animal death, promote animal health and well-being, ease the financial burden of responsible pet ownership, and to use the opportunity to educate pet owners regarding the care of their pets. For eligible pet owners, all veterinary services and products necessary for the health and welfare of their pets that are offered by the veterinaryclinics to the general public are available and substantiallydiscounted. Discounts of $45,723 were provided to these eligible clients in 2016. C. Free educational internships to students who are either pursuing a career in the veterinary profession or are interested in doing so. Hands on experience accompanied by the staff of the veterinary clinics is provided with practical education in animal restraint and treatment. This provides assistance to schools of veterinary medicine and to veterinary technician colleges by providing a means for their students to gain hands on experience. 5 students were served in 2016 for a total of 248 hours. D. Free veterinary services at animal related events where theassistance of an attending veterinarian is requested. E. Free educational lectures, demonstrations, or career days inlocal community schools.

Those missions providing material, educational, veterinary medical, spiritual or pecuniary assistance in the underprivileged nation themselves. B. Those missions that provide assistance to other individuals orgroups that are evangelical christians functioning in underprivileged nations in the aforementioned manner. The corporation was limited in the amount of net profit that it wasable to direct to such christian missionary organizations because it used the net profit to underwrite its charitable mission and to pay off debt that was incurred in establishing and maintaining facilities within which it provided services in furtherance of its charitable mission. The corporation anticipates that it will beable to direct more of its net profits to appropriate christianmissionary organizations in 2017.
