Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: Mission: LYD mission is to advocate for the quality of life of at-risk children, youth, and their families of Latino descent or other underserviced ethnicities in Monroe County. We will achieve this by providing relevant programs that include anti-gun initiative, conflict resolution, education, health, recreational, cultural enrichment, crime prevention, drug education, addiction prevention, employment mentorship and leadership development.
Results: In the 2021-2022 school year: 35 out of 48 senior high schoolers will be going off to college 11 students will be going off to trade schools, programs, 2 will enter the work force.
Target demographics: Inner City Youth and their families impacted by violence
Direct beneficiaries per year: 450 children in 3 month period
