Mission: The lander old timers rodeo association (lotra) is a member-driven organization formed to provide a venue to educate both youth and adults in regard to rodeo and equine related events as it pertains to participation, safety of participants, health and safety of horses and livestock, and the cultural heritage of the equine disciplines. The organization provides opportunities for equestrian enthusiasts to participate in educational activities such as practices, clinics and events where horsemen showcase their skills, learn from other participants and educate the wider community about the traditions of western riding and rodeo. The organization will accomplish this in part through efforts such as sponsoring local junior rodeo association events, high school rodeo events, and all-girl rodeos, hosting the lander pioneer days rodeo and parade.
