Mission: We exist to serve as a central location dedicated to hosting a wide range of programs and services provided by organizations and government agencies for the purpose of improving the health, welfare, well-being and quality of life for veterans, military members, and their families and caregivers and others in need in the Lander, Wyoming community and surrounding area.
Target demographics: members of the local military veteran community including veterans, military members, and their families and caregivers
Direct beneficiaries per year: about 500 individuals and provided services in collaboration with 4 government agencies and over a dozen other nonprofit organizations.
Geographic areas served: Fremont County, WY
Programs: Our Referral Program focuses on connecting members of the military veteran community with partner agencies and organizations who are qualified to provide specific, individualized or topic-focused services including: access to veterans benefits, veterans mental health services, career preparation and training, and homelessness and hunger. Access to most of our Referral Program services are also available to others in the community who are in need. Our Mental Health Education, Training and Support Program provides members of the military veteran community with the opportunity to meet with our staff and volunteers who directly facilitate several services programs with assistance from various support partners, including: mental health support for addiction, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Moral Injury (MI); and provide mental health and suicide prevention outreach and training. Our Mental Health Education, Training and Support Program also provides support to several federal, state and county departments and agencies.
