Mission: Lambert house is a center for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth that encourages empowerment through the development of leadership, social and life skills.
Programs: Provide gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth drop-in center which provides activities, support, mentoring, and social environment for over 600 youth. Approximately 80% of program services are provided by trained volunteers. This totaled about 9,400 hours in 2016. In 2016, lambert house served 611 youth and young adults between the ages of 11 and 22; 12 youth completed paid internships; 144 support group meetings were held; 48 movie nights were held; over 2,400 meals were served; 30 new volunteers were recruited and trained; and 12 outdoor recreation/education trips were completed. Also in 2016, we provided mentoring and social support for hundreds of youth, and four community events were produced by youth, for youth, with over 200 attendees.
