Mission: Lakeland Audubon Society is a chapter of the National Audubon Society that functions as an independent non-profit organization. Our mission is to support the Audubon Society’s programs while also providing local educational opportunities. We strive to accomplish this mission by having speakers at our monthly meetings that cover a variety of nature related subjects. Our chapter is based out of Elkhorn Wisconsin, serving residents of Walworth County and the surrounding areas. Audubon’s mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity. Audubon has a national network of community-based nature centers and chapters, scientific and educational programs, and advocacy on behalf of areas sustaining important bird populations, engage millions of people of all ages and backgrounds in positive conservation experiences.
