This local, all-volunteer organization, works to preserve, protect and improve the natural environment in and around Lake Forest Park, WA. With a Board of dedicated citizens and hundreds of on-the-ground volunteers, the Foundation has saved more than 22 acres of land from development since 2001. These lands have become public parks and conservation areas. The Foundation also acts as an advocate for strong policies for water quality, habitat restoration, and protecting urban forest canopy with citizens and City, County and State governments, and local tribes. In addition, the Foundation has supported education programs in local schools around salmon, water quality, and trees, and spearheaded arts projects that highlight stewardship of the natural environment.
