Causes: Military & Veterans Organizations, Veterans
Mission: Lake County Honor Flight celebrates America's veterans with a multi-day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.
Results: We have taken almost 600 veterans on 26 completed trips since 2013, providing them with an unforgettable Lake County Honor Flight experience and honoring their service to our country.
Target demographics: We help veterans by providing them with life-changing Lake County Honor Flight experiences, offering them the opportunity to visit memorials, create lasting memories, and receive the recognition they deserve for their service.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 76 veterans
Geographic areas served: Serving Veterans in the Northern Illinois Area. Our organization is proud to serve veterans from the Northern Illinois area, including our home city of North Chicago. We coordinate Lake County Honor Flight trips for these veterans, with departures from General Mitchell International Airport (MKE).
Programs: By providing the Lake County Honor Flight program, we offer veterans a meaningful and unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C., where they can visit memorials dedicated to their service and receive the recognition they deserve.
