They didn’t understand my child, who ended up being diagnosed later as autistic, the art teacher ignored my child and didn’t care, and the program head at the district kicked my child out. They are not equipped for kids that don’t fit inside the box at all whatsoever.

LACER has been part of the Hollywood area for 20 years. Their students do better in school, have access to free arts classes, homework help and field trips include family members too! I have personally seen the difference this program makes in young people's lives. Their classes are high quality and have helped schools survive. LACER has been able to keep music alive at Hollywood High. The school lost funding for their Marching Band in 2009 and LACER has been running a successful band program ever since. Middle school's do not have any funding for organized sports teams, LACER fills this gap with sports teams and tournaments.
