faulkner county urban farm project: educational program to demonstrate organic gardening techniques and encourage people to grow their own produce. Provides nutrition education, fresh fruits and vegetables to a local food pantry, facilitates garden study groups, and organized two festivals celebrating local food. Garden hosts arkansas gardencorps service member. Events also include "cooking matters" courses to offer meal preparation classes for community. Open to the general public (all), especially targeting residence of faulkner county. Program served approximately 340 individuals in 2017.
