Before I joined Kyusa, I was doing business just for survival to me and my little children so I even didn't have enough skills in marketing that is being able to spot who are my customers, how many they were and savings culture was poor but when I got Kyusa training, I learnt how to identify customers and how to keep them and also my savings culture improved. This helped me to add extra two revenue models to the business I had and now I am a happy citizen who is trying to meet the standards of the unstable economy. I no longer fear because it is working for me magical
Kyusa has really helped our community so much , most especially on how they can handle their customers and how to improve on their businesses by getting different income sources. As community leader my life has been changed , I have become a consultancy for different businesses ,we thank God for kyusa
My Name is Stephen Bwambale.
Am a community Leader at Kyusa based in Masaka city. Working with Kyusa has made a great impact on my life. My experience with Kyusa has enabled me improve on my business skills, have learnt to work with other people (Team work), understanding myself better, my Public Speaking skills have improved, I have understood how to work with people in city slums. The experience of working with slums has changed my perspective and attitudes about the people who stay in those areas. As I continue working in these areas new ideas have kept popping into my mind of how can we make these low areas better places for people to stay in. It's really a great joy for me to be working with Kyusa at such a time as this. The opportunity for me to work with you came at a point in my life where I needed the experience, Skills, knowledge and the change of my attitudes. I appreciate Kyusa for giving me an opportunity to serve my community.
Thank you so much.
Hello everyone,
Am Lawrence Ssebadduka from Masaka I work as a volunteer on a post of Community Leader with this organization Kyusa.
Kyusa has been such a blessing to me ever since I joined it in the way that it has equipped with leadership skills, financial skills, business management and addministration, business marketing skills and social skills.
As a community Leader kyusa has provided a platform for me to gain confidence in public speaking, sharing sense ideas also enabling me to teach others in the different programs that kyusa provides
Kyusa steered up to the level starting my own business which I can put into practice which ever I learnt.
I am looking forward gaining more knowledge from kyusa/dot program
Thank you to all the donors, our facilitators, directors, partners may God bless you and long live Kyusa!!!!!
Eunice Awor is my name, a community leader in Tororo District working with KYUSA Uganda a nonprofit making organization with its main objective being empowering young business people more especially women through trainings using a designed curriculum and modules. Working with KYUSA Uganda has been a great opportunity and has positively impacted my life in several different ways like it has made me realize my potential in public speaking, gain more confidence, boldness, assertiveness and also improved on personality development for example I realized that to be a good facilitator/public speaker, one has to have self-confidence, boldness and have self-love that is to say having passion and loving what you are doing , showing interest in it which I was not personally having before.
KYUSA has also made me know how to choose and priories’ on the type of business to do, what I should base on when thinking about the business am to do for example considering the location, who the customers are and what problem is to be solved in that particular area before beginning a business. with all these am very confident that now am in better position to start up my own business with high determination and believe that it’s going to work out practically and putting the idea on paper and action,
KYUSA has also equipped me with skills in managing, coping and interacting with people of different characters traits from different communities that are dynamic and how to handle and work with them without conflicting but working peacefully and happily
Another key aspect in terms of knowledge and skills acquisition during the time that I have been working with KYUSA is having a vision, mission and goal on whatever one has wished to do, that is to say having a vision board that guides on visionalising ones` future, also finding out my personality character traits both my strength and weakness , these have and will continue helping me work hard to achieve my vision and as well as goals for the better and brighter future that awaits me hard.
Therefore I sincerely take this opportunity to thank KYUSA Uganda for such an opportunity given to me to work as community leader and the offer was not only to change agent in the community but also awakening the shining star in me as a person. GOD bless you KYUSA UGANDA with much love from Eunice Awor.
Iam Nakaggwa Dorothy, a Community Leader (training entrepreneurs in business plus ICT) working with kyusa in Tororo. In June 2022, we had a training on facilitation and undertook some online courses organized by the organization so as to prepare us as community leaders and facilitators in terms of knowledge, abilities and skills required. After the training and undertaking the online courses, I obtained more knowledge in business plus ICT, community leadership and various skills in areas like public speaking, preparing facilitating material and content. I also discovered my personality, life goals and vision.
In July 2022, I was given a contract by kyusa of training entrepreneurs of Tororo in business plus ICT as a community leader. For the three months I have worked with kyusa, I have built a good and strong relationship with our program coordinators and my fellow community leaders. The coordinators have been of great help to me in terms of advising and guiding me when doing my community work, helping me build my capacity in terms of thinking, handling situations and working under pressure of meeting deadlines, this has been achieved through frequent communication and sharing study materials with us. Iam enjoying working with kyusa because of the monthly stipend and data they provide to facilitate our work, it is making our work easy and smooth. From the trainings I have conducted, I have gained more skills and experience in public speaking and my confidence levels have gone higher (in terms of eye contact), I have gained more knowledge in business plus ICT because of carrying out regular research and reading, and I have a vision of starting up my own business next year 2023.
I thank kyusa for helping me realize my potential and I pray that GOD blesses the organization and all its workers and partners.
My name is Namulindwa Lydia a community leader kalangala district.
I want to appreciate so so much Kyusa for having led us with avery inspiring, caring, understanding,Godly, loving, encouraging, educative, and above all who have become our mentors.
Kyusa has changed my life so much that am now agood public speaker, time manager,Job creater,IT specialist and a leader in my community. Kyusa has also paid me asalay which has improved my life style. I have got to know my personality type and drown my vision board because of kyusa. Not only me who has benefited from kyusa but also my community has grately benefited. Their way of life has improved,They have opened up new business outlets, learnt record keeping which has helped them realise whether they are making profits or losses, customer care and self care and many things.I and my community say longlive kyusa.
Kyusa is such an awesome NGO I ever worked with of late.
I learnt about Kyusa form a friend who encouraged me to apply for the position of the Community Leader when there was need. I did submit my application but because of the 70% being more of women, I missed the chance in the first place. I thank God that later on, I was also called to join in the training sessions and be part of the team as a Community Leader.
I am so grateful to this organization since it has impacted me greatly.
Right from the training session that was conducted in Grand Global for all the Community Leaders, I developed a close attachment with the team, activities implemented and the organization at large. Working closely with the community, supporting them, educating them is one of the main things that interest me a lot. The organization gave me this platform and am so proud about it.
Through this, I have been able to better understand myself through our online call sessions/classes, am connecting more with the community and doing what I love to do, it has also given me chance to network and meet people I couldn’t have met that easily. Above all, the stipend I receive helps me meet some of my bills and needs, this has enabled me stand out and make choice with well informed decisions.
With the work on ground, I see a fully transformed community with time to come, well informed youth in particular with greater potentials to execute their roles in any firm where they get employment and also in their businesses.
A big appreciation to the Director, Program Coordinator, Accounts Office and other stakeholders for such amazing programs and plan.
Gracias!
Larga vida Kyusa

KYUSA has been impactful as it's name is in a local language Luganda meaning Change. It has iniated programs, projects and opportunities for for the Youth, women inclusive across different communities in areas of entrepreneurship, business management, ICT, personal development, finance, leadership as well as employment opportunities for the youth. It has achieved all this through community engagements tackling gender equality where women have been at a 70% participatory rate. All these initiatives have been aiming at achieving youth employability and interestingly that are all free of charge. Different businesses such as startups have been given a wall to lean on until they leverage Under KYUSA business model initiative through Trainings with the most relevant knowledge and skills and through group follow up of all ventures under different stages of development and growth for sustainable and transformational entrepreneurial lives and business across different sectors of the economy.
Kyusa trained us, it taught us what social entrepreneurship is and we are now professionals that can proudly relate to it. I love Kyusa.
Kyusa as the word states it all ,it's a real life changer,it has turned me into a very resourceful and a go getter person
I came in as a volunteer, have been exposed to quite a no of spaces, got quite alot of insights, enhanced in knowledge and apparently facilitating kyusa trainings.
It's one place where you come empty handed, may be confused but eventually you find your purpose, get to know your vision, mission and identify your values in it's full context.
Kyusa has transformed quite a no of youth lives that have grown into businesses that are sustainable and forgoing.
It's touch and trainings are so unique and different from the norm .kyusa goes beyond just training but impact and walks a journey with all it's alumni as they grow in different phases until they can stand alone
When you step in kyusa, your life changes up side down for better
It's a real mind changer and growth space that every youth needs to venture in to grow both personally, mentally and on the business space
Long live kyusa ,you are a blessing and an answer to the nations
My first interaction with Kyusa was in 2019. From the first day in that class, I knew this is exactly what I needed.
From the teaching approaches, trainers' perosnality and the actual content delivered, I couldn't want anything more. I somewhere felt I had arrived at least for my stage then.
My whole perspective was turned upside down and since then, I have never looked back. I realized the many changes I needed to make in the social enterprise I was running and indeed I made them.
Today, the enterprise has a clearly streamlined vision, mission and values plus know clear who we want to serve and how. I think if it wasn't for the encounter I had with Kyusa, I never would have reached this point.
I continue to follow through with their different activities and keep inviting my friend to join through so as their business may experience a revival.
Keep keeping on #Kyusa.

I joined KYUSA as a facilitator in 2018. I have interfaced with different people from all walks and backgrounds, must I add, that the biggest majority being the youth.
The reward for me has been seeing these young people starting small, and growing their ideas into businesses, and those with small start-ups eventually strengthening their roots, establishing themselves and taking on their fair share of the market pie. Their strength to beat the odds, and change their narrative is heart warming, their desire not to hold a pity party, wade through the things to break barriers not returning to the past that broke the generations before them- considering that many are school dropouts for various reasons, is reason enough for me to delight facilitating them along this journey.
The journey isn't without pain, the biggest being that some drop off because they see no value, saddest still is when they return to where they were despite seeing no profit in it. That's my pain.
My biggest joy is when the youth have seen value through the training, enough to recommend others, and when I can impart life's skills and tall to them with encouragement about life to give them hope for journey ahead.
My name is Nabaggala Proscovia.
I joined Kyusa at a point where I was confused, desperate and tired.
After spending nine months without earning salary due to the adverse effects of Covid-19 pandemic, I thought of starting Laura Foods and confectionery to bail me out in the lockdown.
I joined Kyusa Incubator which helped me alot to not only look at Laura Foods and confectionery as a side business but also as a venture who's goal was to make people's functions memorable after tasting freshly baked cakes.
As a secondary school teacher, I have found myself reformed and my mindset has been changed from depending on salary to creating a business where I invest my passion following my vision, mission and goal.
Kyusa has helped me exploit my inner person and helped me to appreciate every good opportunity that comes my way.
Everyday I wake up with the zeal to create something new that can compete favorably in this world full of variety of cake related products.
Thanks to Kyusa because I can't go back to just a classroom teacher but a reformed Economics teacher.
My name is Prossy M. Namulindwa - CEO of Cake Vine which deals in baking cakes and other pastries
I joined the Kyusa Business Enable Program at a point where I needed to set a couple of things straight and clear in my business
Through the journey, I’ve been able to come up with a mission, vision and core values of the business and not just/only look at it as a money making venture but a service for a greater good
I’ve learnt and implementing a number of things about business financing, accounting and records, pricing which can enable me not work at a loss and also have proper records
Very great mentors/coaches/facilitators to mention
It’s one program I would recommend to you and someone in your circle
Thank you KYUSA.
You’re indeed KYUSA
The 12 weeks Virtual Business Incubation training, helped me to a line my goals, personal values and helped to restructure the social enterprise as team leader with my team to be more focused and gained much experience in this training.
The Business Incubator program run by Kyusa literally transformed my business. Through the program, I was able to articulate and weave my personal values into my business, understand and map out my customers, create and embark on my personal leadership plan as well as put systems in place for the business. I am now more intentional and purposeful at whatever thing I set out to do because I know how it ultimately contributes to the success of the business thanks to Kyusa
The Kyusa business incubation program has helped break down business concepts that seemed difficult, impractical (theoretical) and impossible to learn into simple and efficient systems for running my business. I understand my clients better, my employees are more productive, my sales are up, all thanks to Kyusa!
In 2019 I was introduced to Kyusa by my friend and I got an opportunity to go through Kyusa Business Incubation which helped me understand my business, customers and the community I serve.
This further helped to structure Mawejje Creations
Were I am Team Leader, which is a social business that empowers banana farmers to produce good quality banana fiber and supports youth to revolutionize the fashion industry in Uganda and potentially across Africa.
Our state of the art Banana fiber Center is one stop center that empowers the banana fiber production process and supports the banana fiber processing and product marketing processes.
Since then have been able to expand my enterprise
I have volunteered with Kyusa for close to 3 years now and I must say the experience has left me speechless and purposeful.
I hear and see as well as bare witness to the success stories flowing from Kyusa`s river. They are giving vulnerable youth a second chance at making it in life. Everyone needs a second chance in life and just one person to believe in them and Kyusa is that person.
Amazing work.
As a Board member and funder of the International Institute for Global Leadership (IIGL) in the United States, I have known Noeline Kirabo (director of Kyusa) for many years, both during her time as a student and, finally, as president of IIGL. Her work as a student was exemplary, as is her current initiative of Kyusa -- an organization that has transformed the lives of many disadvantaged Ugandans, and which I also now fund personally. Ms. Kirabo has won many awards for her extraordinary abilities She is one of those individuals who succeeds at whatever she puts her energies to and I have no doubt that we will one day see her as an international leader. I cannot recommend highly enough support of Kyusa.
It's been a great experience to see Kyusa be developed and implemented! I commend the Team Leader, Noeline Kirabo for her vision and also ongoing ability to relate to the program benefactors. I look forward to the next steps!
I personally have been through the Kyusa program and believe me it has made me a world changer i now am in position to help many other people yet i couldn't help even myself
KYUSA story is a story of inspiration.
Their work is unique, it is fulfilling goals aligned in Uganda's vision 2040 and the government's long term plan to reach a middle income economy. The young people that Kyusa trains are vital for our economy. They will change the generations to come
I believe they deserve the recognition and support financially.
Kyusa is not just an organization but is purely a calling to serve the community.I have personally volunteered for Kyusa for few months in 2016.I can testify if there is an organization that needs to be supported and empowered then that should be Kyusa.Lives of youth are transformed, the community is empowered and attitudes are changed.Anyone who wants to see the real meaning of causing impact in the community should visit Kyusa# Tanzania
Kyusa has been a mind blowing engagement. It has come with a new twist to developing young people. One of the greatest things that comes out of it is giving purpose to out of school children, it is the kind of program you would want to partner with because you know that there is going to be a multiplier effect on whoever is transformed by the content delivered to them. Allow me end this way, I believe in opportunities that dry out sadness and give hope and life to something that seems dead and kyusa is that program. I believe they need more support in any way possible because they are doing more than what the eye can see or meet.
