Mission: The corporation is organized for the purposes of promotion of the welfare of humanity, children in need, help for the underprivileged and the support for the health and safety of the alpine community with specific emphasis on the children and community of alpine as prescribed by the ideas of the kiwanis international organization.
Programs: An annual bike ride in san diego's east county attended by approximately 500 riders from southern california. All support activities are performed by volunteers. The proceeds go to the foundation's teens at risk program. This program provides two-year college scholarships each year to two high school students identified as having the skills to succeed but, through various situations, may not complete their high school education.

All proceeds are expended on child and community support in alpine. Examples are youth in alpine (special olympics, scouts, choirs, sports teams, school events) and community service (pediatrauma chair, fire dept. Tip program, "ivie" program, holiday food distribution)
the organization's request was accepted by the national soap box derby in 2017 to became a new chapter. Events are held 2-3 times per year for kids 7-20 years old in 3 divisions. It brings in riders from all over the western states as it has the steepest travel in california. Winners are awards trips to the nationals in akron, ohio.
