Mission: Kingdom advisors is a discipleship ministry serving christian fiancial professionals. The organization encourages, educates, and empowers christian financial professionals with biblical wisdom to be effective disciples of jesus christ in the marketplace.
Programs: Annual conference-kingdom advisors' 10th annual conference, focus, was held february 5-7, 2014, at the omni orlando resort at championsgate in orlando, florida. There were 731 in attendance at the 2014 conference, as compared to 703 in the prior year. World-class plenary speakers including ron blue, steve brown, bob coy, david jeremiah, kevin meyers, david wills, bob doll, ken boa, and others were a significant source of encouragement and inspiration to attendees. In addition, attendees also participated in 17 breakout sessions designed to take attendees deeper in the practicalities of integrating biblical wisdom and into their work life in areas such as generosity, client discipleship and practice management. Consistent with prior years, the feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive!
training program-in 2014, kingdom advisors trained 378 members with the kingdom advisors core training web-based training course. Christian financial professionals commonly refer to kingdom advisors core training as "life-changing" due to its uniqueness in casting a vision for ministry impact through the unique leverage point of the financial advisor and the confidence that comes by understanding the biblical basis for professional financial advice. The training supports the growth of advisors in three key areas: delivery of biblical financial advice, wisdom in practice management, and equipping in personal and spiritual growth.
local communities-as of 2014, kingdom advisors had 40 active local communities with 200 local study groups meeting. Kingdom advisors study groups are comprised of members and prospective members meeting locally to experience dynamic teaching, engage in group discussion, examine best practices, and fellowship with like-minded professionals. Kingdom advisors professionally produced, original teaching content serves as the backdrop for a time of learning and interaction as financial professionals integrate their faith and their vocation.
membership-kingdom advisors membership grew 23% to 1,867 members as of 12/31/14 as compared to 1,520 members as of 12/31/13. Members pay annual dues and may also make charitable contributions to kingdom advisors if they wish. The organization serves members through advocacy for biblical financial advice in the marketplace, community via events and study groups, training in various formats and topics related to financial advising as a specialty, and distinction by offering the qualified kingdom advisor designation.
