Causes: Education
Mission: The purposes for which this corporation, a nonprofit charitable organization, is formed are: 1. To provide charitable and educational activities for kessler elementary families and to enhance the educational facilities and opportunities. 2. To engage in any other lawful activity which may hereafter be authorized from time to time by the board of directors; provided, however, that the purposes for which the corporation is formed shall at all times be consistent with section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as it now exists or as hereafter amended (the "code"), including within such purposes the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the code.
Programs: Home reading campaign - grades k-5 are given reading calendars every month. The children read 20 minutes a night for at least 20 days or more. Then they will be entered into the drawing at the end of each month that this is completed. This is to encourage reading for our families.
lowes charitable & educational foundation - we graded and hidroseeded the soccer field and seeded all the areas that were dirt to fill in the spots. Replaced the reader board big plastic signage parts. We had 2 semi truck loads of bark chips for the playground.
