Met a Marine Colonel playing in a fund raising golf tournament. He told me about this foundation which has paid family members to stay at a facility near the hospital at no cost while their wounded Marine was receiving treatment. Their financials show 100% of donations are used for that purpose. Thank you Col S for telling me about them.
We are a staunch supporter of this charity which ensures that 100% of the donations received go to a cause. The founders pay all expenses of the Foundation. The Foundation has been a huge supporter of our service men and women. For example, they have funded the cost of all lodging expenses at Camp Pendleton for family members to stay nearby while a wounded Marine Is undergoing medical treatment and rehabilitation.
We were looking for local charities to support in our area, and this one was listed. There is absolutely nothing to show what this organization does or if it really exists. This raises a red flag. Why is there nothing at all that talks about your mission, what you do with the money etc. ?
We were looking for a charity to support our military and were disappointed by the small percentage of total revenue many of them donated for that purpose. Then a Marine friend told us about the Kesselhaut Family Foundation, who is paying for Marine families to stay at Camp Pendleton while their Marine is receiving a prosthetic device. We contacted them and made a donation, for which we received a letter to support our charitable gift. 100% of our donation was used to help pay for a family stay.
