Mission: To serve as a catalyst for and to provide financial grants and administrative support for programs, projects and activities which preserve and enhance the quality of life of the residents of the city of kentwood, michigan.
Programs: Kentwood public schools challenge days - an experiential social and emotional learning program for grades 9-12 that offers schools and youth organizations an opportunity to ignite a shift toward greater school connectedness, empathy, and inclusivity. The program goes beyond traditional anti-bullying efforts, building empathy and inpiring a school-wide movement of compassion and positive change. These funds are for a three year annual event, with the funds paying for the professional staff, participating teachers and faculty, food and other related expenses.
city of kentwood celebrate kentwood festival - a celebration of cultural diversity through music, dance, food and art. These funds were used to pay for a stage, sound equipment, bands, portable bathrooms, wash stations, generators, tables and chairs, scaffolding, tents, and other related costs.
