Programs: Affiliate grantas with last year's grant, the board is offering a $5,000 grant opportunity from the unrestricted and conservation funds to each affiliate. For the 2017 affiliate grant program the affiliates were rewarded grants for programs that: involve and/or engage your residents; are new programs/projects at the affiliate; can provide a way of measuring results. Examples are as follows: kcc-dance movement and therapy; chandler hall-music therapy to lessen social isolation; kendal at lexington-virtual reality program; admiral-destination harbors renovation; kendal at hanover-community matching service project; (continue on schedule o)kendal at granville-delay the disease; lathrop-west loop access; barclay friends-bed monitor program; kendal at oberlin-singfit program; collington-talent library; kendal at home-aging in place universal design.

promising innovations (llf)-red featherfunded through the promising innovations grant to develop resources for helping tribal elder age in place. This grant allowed them to respond to the needs of their community partners and ensure their work was implemented in the most sustainable manner. This new knowledge is now being integrated into their native home resource network, which provides home repair case management services to those in need.

promising innovations (llf)-west yavapai guidance clinical foundationrecipient of this grant is funded a two-year initiative to engage isolated older adults who are at risk for depression, substance abuse and suicide through one-on-one home visits, support groups, educational programs and referrals for needed services.
