One of the best non-for-profits I've had the pleasure of coming in contact with. As a nurse this one is near and dear to my heart. I've had the pleasure of attending a number of their fictions and couldn't be more delighted with them. Run by a wonderful group of young women in honor of a wonderful women.
This is a fantastic organization - well run by great people who truly care about their mission. I try to attend every event offered. The most recent Masquerade Ball was one of the best nights out I had in a long time. We were the lucky winners of a champagne brunch for 2 through the silent auction. I look forward to the next even and next year's ball!!!
I provide web related services to this phenomenal non-profit on a pro-bono basis. The foundation is so true to it's word, raising thousands of dollars for cancer research and to help out local families in need. I am so proud of the effort that they put in and how they ensure that all of the money raised goes where it is needed most!
When my friends and I attended our first Masquerade charity event, we knew then and there that we would come back every year. What an amazing group of people who know how to throw a great party for an incredibly important cause.
This is a wonderful organization spearheaded by individuals with the talent and drive to accomplish their mission of raising funds and awareness for cancer research. The results of their hard work can be seen benefitting members of our local community.

This was my first year working with Crystal and her team at the Kathleen F Marks Memorial Foundation. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them and understand their total commitment to their goals of the foundation. The tremendous amount of work they put into all their projects is absolutely amazing and the results of their programs are outstanding. They have helped serve the members of their community in ways that are immeasurable.
This is a fantastic charity. I highly recommend both donating to and volunteering for KFM as we do.

My wife and I have donated to and volunteered for the KFM Foundation. Wonderful people. Great charity. I can't recommend them highly enough.
What a loving , living tribute to their mother's memory. The KFM Foundation might be focused on raising money to help find cures, but my experience with Crystal and Isis is that they are focused on making people smile and feel better TODAY.
Crystal first contacted us the summer of 2013, she wanted us to make a wig out of Isis's beautiful hair.
When I learned the wig was for a 20-something year old stranger who was facing cancer I was completely touched. It is one thing to raise money, it is another thing to make it personal. This year we are making 3 wigs out hair donated by KFM for cancer patients who are in financial need.
Their mom named them so appropriately. Isis a goddess and Crystal a sparkling light. The KFM Foundation is destined to continue brightening people's lives and doing great things.

I have volunteered for the KFM Foundation at several events over the past 2 and a half years such as the Masquerade Ball. The KFM Foundation is run by passionate people that do great work. They made me feel as if I were an everyday member of the organization. I have volunteered for other groups and was made to feel like the hired help.
I have volunteered with the KFM foundation numerous times over the years and have found it to be a wonderful, well-run organization run by passionate individuals. As a matter of fact, when another local fundraising event was in danger of not occurring, the folks from KFM stepped in to help make it a reality.
I've volunteered with the Kathleen F Marks Memorial Foundation numerous times over the past 3 years. Exceptional organization, Great Cause, and Extremely Volunteer Friendly. I continue to volunteer whenever possible.
My first encounter with KFM was their 2nd Annual Masquerade on 10/26/13. This was an amazingly well orchestrated and organized event that left left my family and I with a feeling that 'yes' this was not only a fun event we were pleased to share with our family and friends; this was a well run nonprofit which got things done and raised money for their beneficiary. I personally have been affected by cancer and take it personally how much positive energy was tangible at the event and how much money was raised for their cause. I look forward to supporting and participating again.
I have had the pleasure of knowing the Marks girls for the past 8 years and have witnessed the birth and growth of the Kathleen F Marks foundation. They are completely dedicated and work non-stop to insure it's success. Besides funding research they also work on personal levels, visiting hospitals, donating hair and helping local cancer patients. They are an asset to our community and deserve our continued support.
This is my second year attending the KFM Foundation Masquerade Ball and this time I was a volunteer. This years ball was again very organized with exceptional entertainment along with delicious food. If you like to dance this for sure is an event to come to. The silent auctions are an additional area to help raise money for this worthy cause. New this year was a photo booth. A minimal $5 donation to have 4 pictures taken. The costumes along with the different poses made it enjoyable to watch from the sidelines and the guests seemed to enjoy themselves with this feature.
On a more serious note, the ladies who lead this are very dedicated to this cause and Crystal who is the president seems to have an unending amount of energy that she puts into this event along with all the other fundraising events she holds to raise money for cancer research. What I like the most about this foundation is it's family owned and run, all the money raised goes to the recipient, and small groups, individuals and families benefit from the help of this foundation.
Come on out next year and experience it for yourself. For more information please go to: www.KFMFoundation.org

For a first year Ball this was exceptionally well done but knowing the ladies who put this together makes this no surprise. Their mom would be speechlessly proud!!!!! . I loved the layout of the tables, dance floor versus the side with all of the silent auction items. It helped things flow. One thing I would like to suggest is not to be eating while someone is talking at the podium. For those people who's backs were to the podium (as I was) made me feel rude having my back to the speaker but trying to eat. Have a speaker, serve the salad, let them almost finish then have another speaker, serve the main course, another speaker, etc. Also, no matter what venue I attend it's always hard to be able to talk to people when the dancing starts because of the volume of the music. Not sure if there really is anything that can be done about that except for me to ask for a table as far away from the DJ/Band if necessary. :-) One other thing I would have like to see done is to take individual/couple/group pictures at a designated area. The costumes were wonderful as were the masks. GREAT JOB!!!
The Masquerade Ball was my first experience with the KFM Foundation but will not be the last. It is a great organization that truly puts the time & effort into their events. I have had family & friends who have been touched by cancer and to know that there is a place like this foundation willing to go above and beyond is heart touching. Hats off to the KFM Foundation for their generosity and stellar skills in party planning and fundraising!
I have been very impressed with the Kathleen F Marks foundation since its start. The team is completely dedicated to making this a successful organization. All of the donations collected go directly back into our community to help people touched by cancer and to help fund cancer research. Through all the group's endeavors they are raising awareness as well. Making a contribution to this organization will directly impact a local family or person. I have been able to donate some raffle gifts in the name of my company for the annual Masquerade Ball. It seems minor, but every effort, no matter how small, adds up. I will hopefully be able to contribute my time, money and some gifts for many years to come. Keep up the honest hard work Marks family. It's people like you that make the world a better place.
I met Crystal and Isis last year at a business expo and was drawn immediately to them for some reason I didn't know at the time. I lost my mom to cancer three years ago and while speaking them I noticed that they were intelligent, caring, wonderful young ladies who had the right idea in place and just what I was looking for as a foundation to help out where I could.
I have been to the Fundraisers, donated jewelry from my company and had the lucky advantage of getting to know them personally. This Foundation is unlike any other. These young ladies work tirelessly and have one goal in mind. To Help any one who needs it. I cannot put into words exactly how fortunate I feel to have become friends with KFM and to be just a tiny part of the helping that this Foundation does every day.
The Kathleen F. Marks Foundation is the epitome of a community based organization that is making a significant difference and filling an important need. It is not easy to accomplish this as a volunteer organization, but they do so both professionally and with great passion. Their efforts have a valuable positivie impact on the lives of people facing a cancer diagnosis.
Hi,
My name is Jen and am on the receiving end of the efforts Crystal and Isis pursue. In May of this year, 2013, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. That's enough to deal with but, on top of it, I'm self employed and have zero insurance!!! I knew that surgery was in my future and knew that there would be big time costs up ahead.
My family and friend banded to raise funds as quickly as we can; we made noise with online videos through facebook and youtube, fundraisers and events. Words spread quick and the lovely ladies who run the Kathleen Marks Memorial Foundation heard the story and reached out TO ME! I didn't do a thing!! Through facebook Crystal got in touch with me and made herself and her foundation known. They are now taking care of a significant portion of my surgery bill!! This is wonderful and all I had to do was send them the bill!! This is a true act of generosity and a way that the community contributes directly to a member of the community who is in need.
They're raising funds through fun and wonderful events! A pig roast luau and Halloween Party!!?? How cool right? I feel really connected to the community around me and am assured that I am cared for. Awesome. I look forward to being a part of this group and doing what I can to help other families in their challenges. I could describe the help I received from this organization as life changing since it gave me a broader and wider perspective of my community, a deeper appreciation for the people around me and an awareness of what families are dealing with, and the understanding that help is never far away. It's changed my general thinking, which is life changing. I didn't have to submit any forms or interview for or audition/apply for help,,, it was just there.
The KFM foundation is a wonderful community based organization that concentrates their efforts on awareness and funding for local cancer patients needing a helping hand. As a small business owner, I understand the hard work that goes into success but these lovely ladies make it look so easy and effortless! That put together fantastic events like the Halloween masquerade and Mother's Day brunch, where fundraising goes to the big picture of helping others! I try to partner up with KFM foundation as much as possible just to be a part of the wonderful work they do! I highly recommend joining and supporting such a worthy cause!
So proud of these 2 young ladies, Isis and Crystal by honoring their mother with the Katheleen F Marks Foundation. My dear friend Kathy would be so proud of the wonderful support they are giving to the community to help cancer patients. The Mother's Day Brunch at Augie's Prime Cut was beautiful and look forward to it again. Wonderful job ladies, keep up the good work and dedication.
The Kathleen F Marks Memorial Foundation is wonderful group that is doing great things for the community and for those effected by cancer. I would absolutely recommend supporting and donating to this organization. The Mother's Day brunch was delightful!!
The KMF stepped up and provided much needed funds for a friend of mine who is battling stage 4 liver cancer. The money they donated towards her medical bills relieved the family of a financial burden during an already stressful situation. This donation allowed the family to concentrate on spending time together and battling cancer instead of worrying about medical bills. We are extremely grateful for their support and are very proud to have this organization with in our local community. Thank you!
The Kathleen F Marks Memorial Foundation was created to support the fight against cancer and that is exactly what they do in running fundraisers to help those fighting the battle. The 1st annual masquerade is only one incredible event organized by the foundation. An event worth attending for its venue, food, entertainment and, most of all, for the children we helped at John Hopkins. I plan on making this an annual event for myself and hope that others will join me!
The Pediatric Oncology Department at Johns Hopkins is dedicated to saving the lives of children with cancer. A place for brilliant research and compassionate care; it is also a place of laughter and tears, wins and losses, hopes and prayers. Here, superb caregivers do the toughest jobs with skill, courage , and amazing grace. On behalf of the patients that we will serve in the months ahead, thank you for your support and encouragement. We look forward to a continuing partnership with all of you. The event was an amazing tribute to the entire Marks Fmaily. With great thanks, Stephanie Davis
I am amazed at the way Isis and Crystal have chose to honor their mother whom was a dear friend of mine. They have said for many years that this is what they intended to do and they followed through. I am Proud to say that I knew their family as well as them. I love you all dearly and while doing all this you are both raising 3 beautiful children.
FROM THE TIME CRYSTAL FIRST MENTIONED STARTING THIS FOUNDATION, I HAVE BEEN AMAZED AT THE AMBITION SHE HAS TO HONOR HER MOTHER AND HELP THOSE IN NEED. SHE PUTS HER ALL INTO EVERYTHING SHE DOES, AND THE MASQUERADE BALL WAS PROOF OF JUST THAT. EVERY LITTLE DETAIL OF THE EVENT WAS PERFECT, WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME! THE FOUNDATION WILL ALWAYS HAVE MY SUPPORT 100%. IT MADE ME PROUD TO BE ABLE TO ASSIST IN THE SMALL WAY I COULD! THANK YOU CRYSTAL, ISIS, AND PHIL FOR WORKING SO HARD TO HELP SO MANY OTHERS, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW FAR THEY WILL TAKE THIS ORGANIZATION! CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR HARD WORK IS PAYING OFF! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!
The time and effort that the Marks sisters put into this foundation is uncanny. From fishbowl tosses, to trick-or-treat bags, to masquerade balls, they pour their hearts out into everything they do for this foundation in hopes of helping families in any way they can and inevitably finding the cure. I try to support them in all they do, and will continue to do so in any way I can. I'm proud to call these ladies my friends, and honored to contribute to the foundation knowing that every little bit helps! "Have a Hoot, Give Cancer the Boot!!"
My company manages 60 events annually, and we work with many wonderful not-for-profit organizations. I can't say enough about Crystal & Isis, I love the direction that they are taking this organization. The love and passion for what they do to assist others dealing with a really rough time is amazing, and I know God will continue to bless them; I'm sure their mom is looking down on them, and she's pretty proud!!! Continued Success, Chereese Jervis-Hill, President, Events To Remember, www.EventsRemember.com
This event was a blast before walking in the door. The fire twirlers outside prepared you for all the fun inside. Jugglers, dancers, aerobatics, great food, and dancing. Can't wait for next year's ball. The donations gathered from the the ball went to fund pediatric cancer research, a great night out and all for a worthy cause. See everyone next year!
This event did not disappoint, from the fire dancers outside to the amazing acrobatics inside it was a fun filled evening. The food was outstanding the entertainment was mesmerizing, if you missed out this year get your tickets early for next year's ball. A fun filled night out and all for a great cause, finding a cure for pediatric cancer.
Amazing is an understatement to describe this foundation and their efforts to find a cure for pediactric cancer. I have teamed up with this foundation and each sale of my owl hats I have agreed to donate a portion of it's proceeds in hopes that every little bit counts. And that one day this foundation would be the reason why something great has become of this! They are wonderful women whom I have known since my childhood and I am so proud of all their hard work and dedication to this foundation.
This event was amazing for so many reasons. Not only is this an amazing foundation but it was started in memory of an amazing woman. Mrs. Marks would be so proud to see the wonderful things her beautiful daughters have done. I had such a wonderful time at the ball and not only connected with old friends but made great new friends. The music was excellent, the food delicious, the entertainment spectacular, and the decor breathtaking. It was such an honor to contribute to the cause. I am proud to have say I attended this event and even prouder to call Crystal, Isis, and Tiffany my friends. I can't wait for the next event!!!!
Dear Mrs. Kathleen Marks, Your daughters have grown into amazing woman. The amount of energy that has been contributed to your cause has exemplified the positive human spirit. Unconditional love is the only way to describe how your family members remember their mother. Please know that their lives have been filled with your graciousness and they remember you every moment. John misses you terribly and is so happy to see you everyday, in his children. Rest knowing you did well.
