Mission: Karimu envisions a world without poverty. Our mission is to partner with communities to build pathways out of poverty that enable independent and thriving rural communities in the developing world. We engage deeply with local communities and government officials to set priorities for precise projects that address these challenges.
Results: Karimu has statistically proven that it has eliminated poverty in the rural community of Ayalagaya consisting of 15,000 people. The community now has access to clean water, quality health care, education, income projects and financial services.
Target demographics: To eliminate poverty
Direct beneficiaries per year: 25,000 people in Arri by providing clean water within 500 meters of each household, built new bathrooms for local schools, expanded the local Health Center that serves over 40,000 people, successfully launched savings groups and agriculture income projects both in the commuinity of Arri and Ayalagaya.

Programs: Karimu believes that poverty can be completely eradicated by addressing the key challenges to poverty: lack of access to clean water and sanitation; quality education and health care; income and financial services. Therefore, we provide programs and projects in all of these key areas.
