Mission: Mission - the kansas healthcare collaborative (khc) exists to transform health care through patient-centered initiatives that improve quality, safety and value. Vision - khc seeks to engage and align providers from across the state to establish kansas as a role model for healthcare quality and a top performer in healthcare outcomes. Values - we believe those who deliver health care are responsible for leading quality improvement. We believe collaboration leads to developing, sharing, teaching and learning effective approaches proven to deliver the best possible healthcare. We believe effective utilization of meaningful, patient-oriented analytics and objective reporting promotes excellence in healthcare.
Programs: Hospital improvement innovation network (hiin) - in partnership with the kansas hospital association, the organization works with participating hospitals to offer improvement activities such as webinars and other educational sessions, topic-specific fellowship programs, improvement collaboratives utilizing the pdsa model, and ongoing learning networks with selected site visits across a variety of topics, including leadership development, culture of safety, teamwork, communication, and specific areas of focus for preventable readmissions.
compass practice transformation network (ptn) provides direct, in-person assistance to participating practices. Practices will have the opportunity to collaborate with clinician colleagues locally, regionally and nationally to accelerate innovative care strategies. Khc's quality improvement advisors help practices improve health outcomes, control costs, and prepare to thrive in alternative payment. There is no monetary cost for clinicians and practices to participate in this program.
kansas healthcare collaborative, inc. (khc) continued a variety of clinical initiatives during 2017, including:1) summit on quality - sponsored in partnership with the kansas hospital association (kha) and the kansas medical society (kms), the summit on quality is the organizations's signature education event and focuses on quality and patient safety.
