Mission: Kansas action for children, inc. Is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to shaping health, education and economic policy that improves the lives of kansas children and their families.
Programs: Alliance for early success - this grant supports the activities of the partnership for early success. During this fiscal year,achievements included maintaining momentum for early learninginvestments in kansas and continuing work toward a comprehensiveearly learning system; strengthening statewide advocacy networkacross leadership organizations; enhancing the ability ofleadership organizations and staff to strategically mobilize andcommunicate with key constituencies.
spp - this grant supports the research, analysis and thedissemination of information regarding state-level budgetpriorities, policies and tax and revenue issues affecting humanservices and the well-being of low-income children and families. During this fiscal year, achievements included reaching out toother organizations and individuals who can contribute to and usefiscal information and analysis; disseminating reports, analyses,easily understood fact sheets and issue briefs to appropriateaudiences, conducting workshops and briefings on significantbudget and tax issues for partner organizations and otheraudiences in the state of kansas.
the mid-level dental practitioner project will improve access todental care through workforce innovation. Work through thisproject includes review of midlevel dental provider models inother states and around the world. Activity to support adoptionof an effective dental midlevel model in kansas includes outreach,strategic communications strategies and convening stakeholders. The long-term goal is to improve access to affordable,high-quality oral health services for children and their families.
