Causes: Health, Neurology & Neuroscience
Mission: To improve the quality of life for those affected by neurological disorders. We do so via our educational programs and conferences, support groups, resource lending library, newsletter and in-office information and support.
Programs: Educational programswe held 19 education programs and conferences that served 2,300 attendees. 2014 conferences included the southeastern washington autism conference, and prescription for caregivers. Other educational programs included: alzheimer's and dementia, food and the brain, methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (mthfr), mthfr & memory, mthfr & neuropathy, and parkinson's disease.
our newsletter, the neurotransmitter, was distributed to more than 5,500 readers. our resource lending library has over 2,500 titles on neurological disorders, caregiving, brain health and related topics. Our library collection is automated and accessible via our website. We also provide clients with free education materials such as pamphlets and booklets. There are 1,620 library patrons in our system. 1,575 library materials were circulated in 2014.
