Mission: The junior orange bowl committee, inc. 's mission is to offer the community of south florida and the world's youth the opportunity for wholesome, competitive and multi-cultural experiences. The junior orange bowl events provide a platform in which the youth of today can showcase their specific talents and strengths.
Geographic areas served: South Florida
Programs: Junior orange bowl international tennis championship featuring 1,200 boys and girls (12 & under and 14 & under) competing at four south florida locations for international championship.
junior orange bowl parade continues a 65 year tradition with its annual parade through the streets of downtown coral gables with floats, bands and hundreds of children participating before 50,000 spectators.
junior orange bowl basketball classic was founded in 1989 as a youth league tournament and expanded to high schools in 1993. The 2012 high school tournament featured 8 boys and 8 girls teams. There was also a middle school tournament and a boys junior varsity tournament.
