Programs: Heaven's loft is an incentive program that encourages low-income expectant mothers and parents of young children to receive prenatal care, well baby care, immunizations and education. Approximately 400 participants received the program's services.
angel tree is a program promoting charitable donations for the angel tree organization. Donations were used to buy gifts for children. Approximately 10 participants were involved.
league locker provides school supplies to students in the central arkansas area. Approximately 200 participants in five schools were involved during the program.
other programs include the following: kids in the kitchen is a program designed to help communities addres the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition. It also provides educational initiatives for children and families in their communities. Approximately 20 families were involved. Between the lines is the newest project of the jlnlr and is designed to get children reading at grade level by the 3rd grade. We start with preschool aged children to instill good reading habits in thier families. Approximately 50 families were elligible for this program.
