Causes: Women, Womens Service Clubs
Mission: An organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
Programs: Provide leadership training, provide non-profit management training, and promote volunteerism to our membership. Highlights from this year's program include: -all members were offered a bus tour highlighting the history of the junior league of kalamazoo and its predecessor, the service club of kalamazoo (jlk). -all members were offered an image consultant training. -all members were offered a parliamentary procedure (roberts rules) training. -all members were offered a strengthsfinder assessment (provided by gallup) and introduction to strengthsfinder training. -all members were offered an introduction to improvisation training. -eight women attended a one-day leadership training through the michigan state chapter of the junior league. -seven women attended a one-day leadership training at the capital in lansing, michigan. -four women attended a two day leadership non-profit management training (organizational development institute conference) provided by the association of junior leagues international. -two women attended a two-day leadership and non-profit management conference provided by the association of junior leagues international. -two women attended a three-day leadership and non-profit management conference provided by the association of junior leagues international.
