Programs: Elementary grade programs - students learn the basic concepts of business and economics and how education is relevant to the workplace. The sequential activities build on studies from each preceding grade and prepare students for secondary school and lifelong learning. 93,096 students in 4,960 classes.
ja biztown and ja finance park are reality-based, hands-on learning programs. Through daily lessons, hands-on activities, and active participation in an interactive simulation, students develop a strong understanding of the relationship between what they learn in school and their successful participation in an economy and the principles of budgeting. Ja biztown takes 4th-6th grade students into the world of business. They assume roles of producers, consumers and investors. Students learn how to create and manage a business, as well as learn what it takes to make a sale and earn money! 11,751 students in 494 classes. Ja finance park introduces middle and high school students to personal finance and career exploration. During their day at ja finance park, students receive randomly assigned family and income scenarios. They then proceed to use bank services, arrange for housing and transportation, make investment decisions and work to create a balanced personal budget. 9,662 students in 388 classes.
middle grade programs - reinforce the value of education by demonstrating the economic benefits of staying in school. Each of the lessons support 21st-century learning objectives including collaboration and critical thinking. 21,812 students in 1,057 classes.
high school programs - help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future and fosters skills that will be highly useful in the workforce. With a range of different programs, ja teaches concepts relating to entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness.
