Programs: The nonprofit organization offers sequential and integrated economics and business programs to students in grades k-12. Ja empowers young people to own their economic success by inspiring and preparing them for the world of work. The volunteer delivered programs focus on three pillars: work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands on learning. Volunteers add their unique life and work experience to the lessons to show students how their picked their career path. The goal is for students to make the connections between what they are learning in school to what they can do in the future. Ja has an active group of 350 volunteers who donate their time to educating the next generation of skilled workers and business leaders in maine. Ja impacted 10,364 students last year from 616 classrooms across the state.
