Causes: Children & Youth, Education, Youth Development - Business
Mission: We are the passionate people behind a movement that seeks to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives.
Programs: Elementary school, middle school and high school programs: ja programs on economics, financial literacy and the free enterprise system were taught by over 2,800 volunteers to school age children in 4,400 classes throughout western and southern washington. Independent studies have shown ja curriculum inspires students to take more personal responsibility and have higher aspirations for the future.
ja world provides experimental learning experience for 5th & 8th graders. 5th graders operate a small village for a full day with help from volunteers. 8th graders learn about personal finance and budgeting.
the business hall of fame provides awareness of business legends, who, through use of business & economic principles, have positively impacted our community and serve as role models for our children.
