Programs: Midwifery care and birth center to provide an alternative maternity care setting for low risk childbearing women. The center will offer a place for women to give birth and to receive prenatal and postpartum care. The services provided will include home birth for low risk women. The primary care givers for prenatal care and birth will be certified direct-entry midwives and/or certified nurse midwives licensed in the state of alaska.
