Mission: The purpose of junction city local aid is to help meet the basic requirements of persons living in the junction city school district who are in need. Basic needs are defined as: food, clothing, shelter, medications, household utilities, transportation, and resource referrals.
Programs: Provided balanced, nutritious meals to 1,348 people who would not have these meals due to a financial emergency.
provided temporary utility assistance to 203 families in a short term financial crisis and facing utility shut off.
assisted 47 people in financial need to be able to obtain their prescription medications plus 23 people who needed assistance to obtain basic over the counter needs, such as cold medicene or aspirin.
assisted 32 people to get transportation to medical appointments, job interviews, schooling.
