Causes: Job Training
Mission: Coalition of organizations brought together and committed to advancing one common goal: job creation and investment in minnesota through the growth of responsible industries.
Programs: Jobs for minnesotans was co-founded in 2012 by the minnesota building and construction trades council representing more than 55,000 workers and the minnesota chamber of commerce representing 2,300 companies and 500,000 employees. This coalition represents businesses, labor, communities and other supporters of job creation and investment in the state of minnesota. 2017 accomplishments- expanded the coalition to include issues safe energy transportation and wild rice regulations. - developed key messages and coordinated meetings to educate leaders on decisions made at the federal level about land access. - conducted broad based issue awareness about safe energy transportation. - conducted a broad based education campaign about the importance of metals and their uses in the global economy to support potential mining projects in northern minnesota. - expanded a broad based coalition of supporters throughout the state. - developed key messages and talking points. - attended public meetings and special events in support of the jobs for minnesotans mission. - expanded media out reach by meeting with editorial boards, issuing news releases and submitting op/eds and letters to the editor. - developed and distributed collateral materials such as fact sheets and testimonials. - maintained and enhanced jobs for minnesotans web site, online presence and social media.
