Mission: Reaching Souls International, formerly JHMI, currently works in seven sovereign nations in Africa and India. Our mission statement is "Proclaiming the Gospel to emerging nations by loving, reaching, training, equipping and multiplying the laborers."We fullfill this mission by empowering native missionaries to do the work of evangelism in their own nations and geographic regions. The ministry was founded on the principles of Christ found in 2 Timothy 2:2.
Results: We have 725 men in the field. Since 1986 we have seen 9,099,496 documented salvations. (YTD 10/09)
Direct beneficiaries per year: 725 National Missionaries and 324 Orphans
Geographic areas served: Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
Programs: - Leadership Development Institutes - Our goal is to train faithful men who will go out and train others as we were taught to do in 2 Timothy 2:2. We believe it will be Africans that reach Africa for Christ, Indians for India, and so on. Through Leadership Development Institutes we train native pastors and evangelists to reach their home nations with the Gospel.- I.A.M. - I.A.M. is the acronym for International African Ministries and International Asian Ministries. Through the I.A.M., Reaching Souls supports native pastors and evangelists serving as national missionaries. We support a group of faithful men on a full time basis, empowering them to be His messengers to their own people. Our mission field has become our mission force!- Children In Need - The Lord has given us an innovative ministry format to focus on changing the lives of Africa's neediest: the orphans. The strategy is smart, practical and effective. Reaching Souls is forming families by placing orphans in the homes of I.A.M. led church members. We purchase enough food to feed the orphan and his or her entire "adopted" family, and thereby make the orphan an asset to the family.- Relief Work - JHMI also provides food, clothing and other aid for those in need. As an example: Following the 2004 Tsunami disaster Reaching Souls provided food, clothing and medical supplies for those affected on the coasts of India.
