Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Children & Youth, Economic Development, Health, International, Microfinance, Public Health, Rural Economic Development
Mission: We work with rural communities to identify their most pressing needs in education, health, women’s empowerment and food security. Together, we design, implement and manage high-impact social interventions that expand opportunities.
Results: We just formed in fall of 2016, but have already raised almost $20,000 towards the purchase of 12 milling machines to serve thousands of women and girls in 144 villages.
Target demographics: some the world's most isolated and distressed communities
Geographic areas served: the remote rural villages of Congo's Haut Plateau
Programs: the purchase of corn flour milling machines to liberate women and girls from the onerous task of pounding maize 20 hours/week
