My review of this organization may seem biased as I am not only a board member but also the surviving mother of LCpl. Jackson Forringer. So, allow me to share a bit behind the importance of this organization. It not only awards a monetary gift, it bridges the gap between an individual aging out of the foster system and entering a life in military service. It gives hope and encouragement and provides a support system to someone who persevered through much to get to this point.
It was Jackson’s dream and desire to help individuals who were traveling on a similar journey that he experienced.
If you don’t know his full story, I encourage you to read about his amazing life on the website: www.jacksonsgift.com
There isn’t another nonprofit out there that supports these specific needs. I pray you will consider making a donation and be a part of making Jackson’s dream become reality.
“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
Jacksons Gift is a wonderful organization that was born out of tragedy and the desire to honor an amazing young man who never let his past define him. I've watched as Jackson's gift quickly grew from an idea to help young people aging out of the foster system and entering the military into a well organized nonprofit. The founder and board members should be proud of what they have accomplished in such a short time. Their dedication to honoring Jackson's memory is evident.
