This Group is amazing! They support anyone on the Autism Spectrum in countless ways. They have a support group where you can meet other families with children on the spectrum. I have Autism and run a organization that provides computers to people with special needs. Shelly and team is always there to support You and your family.

I am writing you in regards to JASN.In Jackson, Michigan. I am a former board member and former event coordinator for the last 3-4 years.

My family and I have donated countless hours and resources to making this organization and it’s events more successful. From trailers and tables to garbage removal , getting vendors, putting 40x60 tents up myself and my husband without a thank you, or help from the other board members, growing the volunteer list, children’s activities and getting donors. I put my heart and soul into loving this organization and what I thought it meant.

But unfortunately, I have stepped down from my position as a board member, then the Event Coordinator with this organization. I stepped down because it was clear over time that there is an autocratic environment/culture in the organization. I feel my efforts were not appreciated and I was undermined at every opportunity. My concerns and questions on increasing the autistic scholarship may have caused this. My concerns were not addressed. I have never seen an itemized list of what the president did with all the money raised for the year. I did see the raised money from the around the park for autism. A 5 k walks.
Coincidentlly, my grandson did not receive his $250 autistic equipment scholarship for 2019 that he had received every year since 2014. All correspondence I tried was not answered or addressed. So I am entitled to my opinion
As for me and my family , we are no longer associated with this organization. My advise when volunteering or donating to Jasn,
is to ask some serious questions.
