Programs: Environmental education: school field trip program offered free to students and teachers - almost 2,000 participants. Deliver 125 education programs and interpretive walks free to the public - over 2,500 participated. Continually developing new programs for the schools and the public in response to expressions of interest. Areas of particular development include lecture series, insect walks, and the african-american cultural history of the ivy creek natural area.
cultural programming: promote area as african-american heritage site. Provide brochures, website, lectures, access to historic sites. Conduct historic research.
park management: maintain 7+ miles walking trails in 217-acre natural area open daily to the public. Provide trail maps and interpretive materials. Maintain wildlife habitat. Monitor second 410-acre natural area while area is closed to the public.
