Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: To promote sound and effective agricultural conservation efforts, to increase public awareness and understanding of the benefits of agricultural conservation practices, and to provide information to the public that creates acceptance and support for the continued growth of conservation practices by the iowa agricultrual community for such community's overall benefit.
Programs: Conservation, promotion and public awareness: educated iowans on water quality and the benefits of regional collaboration topics across the state using various forms of media and outreach across multiple channels. Print editorials placed in central iowa media markets educated thousands of iowans and had several hundred thousand impressions. Held multiple stakeholder discussions throughout the year to facilitate ongoing conversations on a regional water solution for central iowa ratepayers.
