Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: Uplift and Educate Special Needs Children, Nurture the Hungry and Together Brighten Livelihoods Support, Embrace, Value & Accept (SEVA) Special Needs well-being through advocacy, wellness awareness, educational, religious and social services. At no cost, provide non-medical local community based services with custom care - Help reduce depression, fear, anxiety to bring out happiness, hope and inner peace by promoting Self-Fulfillment and Self-Sufficiency.
Results: 9,733 Pounds wholesome food donated to community food banks for local support, to alleviate hunger and poverty 8,093 Nutritious meals served and distributed healthy/protein snack bags to promote wellness & to nourish the hungry 1,671 Children and families served to uplift their spirit, relieve loneliness, anxiety, COVID-19 fear & depression 5,370 Items: Household, hygiene kits, school supplies, clothes, to low income, homeless to thrive, restore hope & confidence
Target demographics: the underprivileged, developmental disabled children and their family to nourish the hungry, help reduce stigma, physical isolation, anxiety, fear and depression.
Geographic areas served: USA and in India to raise awareness in society that these special children and the underserved have the same needs, wants and desires to excel to their fullest potential. Support, Embrace, Value, Accept (SEVA) each Soul we serve as they are in their own journey of life: Bring Smiles and Happiness through acts of Generosity and Kindness - Invaluable secrets to Life's Purpose.
Programs: advocacy, training, mentoring, and generosity to restore individuals’ self-belief of how special they are. Promote education, social integration, wellness awareness and share local services and resources available for poverty relief, moral support, basic needs, and healthy living. When our clients express ill-feelings towards family members, talk of regrets, have negative thoughts, we listen compassionately and give positive responses, reassure their health/wellbeing. We offer an outlet, give them an opportunity to bring out what they are storing in their heart to lessen their burden, anxiety, fear, and regrets as time evolves/changes. SEVA in Sanskrit language is a service performed without any expectations or rewards in return.
