Causes: International
Mission: The international forgiveness institute is dedicated to helping people gain knowledge about forgiveness and use that knowledge for personal, group, and societal renewal.
Programs: The primary focus of the international forgiveness institute (ifi) is providing forgiveness education programs in schools throughout the world. Research at the university of wisconsin-madison has demonstrated that the ifi program is the first scientifically-proven forgiveness program in the country. During 2011, ifi developed new curriculum for 9th grade students (pre-kindergarten through 9th grade now complete) as well as a curriculum guide for family use. The ifi's flagship forgiveness education program in belfast, now in its 11th year, is expanding across northern ireland. Ifi's programs have now reached more than 25,000 students in more than a half dozen wisconsin communities, in three other states, and in twelve countries around the world.
