Causes: Boards of Trade
Mission: Ibpsa's mission is to continually provide current educational resources, standards, and best practices through certification and accreditation, using learning systems and methods that reinforce commitment to quality pet care services, to provide the educational trade association for the pet care service industry. We provide educational materials, set industry standards, and provide programs to include: resources to include animal care, facility management and business operations, insight into the industry, and published standards needed so that pet care service providrs and their staff can deliver services in a knowledgeable and competent manner.
Programs: 2017 educational conference & trade show: annual conference in which the organization meets with its members to provide association news and updates. Eighteen educational classes were offered to all attendees to educate at the general manager/owner operator level. Two pre-conference courses were offered, one class to educate at general manager/owner operator level, one class open to the public as it was a pet cpr and first aid class. Non-members were encouraged to join the association and participate in the industry by helping set pet care standards. Conference had one keynote speaker that was a published professional in his field. Seven conference speakers were recognized published experts in their field.

Subject matter can include safety standards to include osha and hazcom, operational procedures, best practices, financial & accounting, and management standards. These educational programs were approved for continuing education credits (ceu's) for third party certification within the industry.
educational programs available through an online learning management system (lms): these programs are built for employees of pet care service business. Each program is specifically designed to teach the proper care of a specific species of pet. In 2017, these educational programs were approved for continuing education credits (ceu's) for third party certification within the industry.
annual members dues: these are annual amounts collected from provider members and vendors to provide monthly educational webinars, weekly newsletters, industry surveys and updates. Provider members are encouraged to participate fully in the association by attending educational programs, contributing their knowledge through committee work, and participating in member meetings, vendors are encouraged to reach out to membership to provide needed educational materials, product specials, and participate fully in the association.
