Wtmf is organized to achieve world peace by promoting basic core values learned from practicing various martial arts. Wtmf and iap have been collaborating together to promote world peace on many occasions in recent years. The conference was held in bay area, california on february 18, 2017. More than 40 participants from wtmfs martial art classes and their friends & families attended the seminar. At the seminars, we studied a few presentations on the need of moral education and had discussion sessions over the contents. Master shota iwasaki of east coast wtmf was the main presenter of the event. This was his third participation in the iap event. He has been practicing martial arts for more than 30 years and has a 20-year history of teaching. He emphasized the importance of moral education and explained how practice of various martial arts had been contributing to promoting basic moral values for many centuries. He explained that creating a moral society filled with citizens of morality surely leads to creating a world of peace. The contents of the seminar were very well appreciated by the participants. They could see a connection between practicing martial arts and creating a world of peace though these two might appear totally different things. They appreciated collaboration of iap and wtmf in trying to achieve the same goal, world peace, though their approach is different.
