There was a slight mistake in my last review. I incorrectly gave the web site address as ipnoc when it should have been ipmoc, thus www.ipmoc.org

The Interfaith Peace Ministry of Orange County is an interfaith coalition of Peacemakers who have organized to work for reconciliation and understanding in our world.

Our purpose is to empower and unify the faith community to effect social change. There has been new energy and leadership in our organization this past year as well as several well attended events, such as the recent 9/11 Remembrance and Prayer Service at Chapman University..

Lack of funds prevents us from publishing a newsletter as we have in the past but we have a wonderful web site, www.ipnoc.org , which brings you the same information. Please check it out; it is updated regularly.

I have been a member of the IPM/OC for probably 25 years or more. Besides enlightening presentations and a special annual meeting/dinner, I have partnered with IPM/OC on events and networked with other organizations through their members. Specifically, I coordinated an OC chapter of Educators for Responsibility (ESR) and was able to contact interested educators through people I met at IPM. I also published a local newsletter for ESR and learned of issues and events for educators from the articles in IPM's newsletter and amazing Calendar of Events back when this kind of sharing was not easily available on the Net.

For more than 31 years, IPMOC has been at the forefront of faith based peace with justice issues. From local community issues and concerns to the Middle East and Christian/Jewish/Muslim relations, the clergy and board of directors have been giving voice to injustice in our world.
